Hockey Allstars

My son is getting real steady on his feet and can skate unassisted now. He is learning to play hockey. And this is one week before his 3rd birthday!!!

First Packing Snow of the Season

The kids enjoyed the first packing snow of the season. They made two snowmen, a snow cat, a snow bowl and a snow-ball (for the snow cake to play with).

A big cake

We sure don't do birthday's here like our cousins/nieces in Brazil.

Dog sledding

We went to the Kortright Centre to watch the dog sled races on Sunday. The kids enjoyed it and even got to try out a real dog sled ride. My daughter was interviewed and ended up on the local news.

But her favourite part was the sewage treatment plant at the site.

Happy Valentines Day

Valentines day was great. We had heart-shaped pizza, heart-shaped cake and exchanged small presents. I bought a bouquet of flowers for Sharon.

Skating

Kids are also doing great at skating. Sharon supervised my daughters kindergarten class on the local rink at the arena. My son is doing fantastic in the backyard.

Swimming

The kids are both doing really great in swimming lessons. My daughter is going underwater by herself and my son loves jumping in (as long as he doesn't get water in his eyes.

Backyard Rink

The rink is a big success, and if the kids continue to improve the way they have over the last few weeks, we will be looking at the next NHL all stars. Misty even joined in the fun, and kept stealing the puck.

Winterfest

We went to the local winter fest on the weekend, but the weather was just too cold to participate in any of the outdoor activities. So we went indoors, saw the balloon twisting clowns, and face painting, and then after that the kids enjoyed their favourite entertainer: Russ.

Chuck E Cheese

The kids finally got their wish and we made it Chuck E. Cheese's for dinner. Friends of the family were celebrating a birthday and we were invited for pizza, games and prizes. It is definitely an experience and the kids sure had fun.
