Go Diego Go

We went to the zoo and saw Diego, and got to watch his new movie. The kids really enjoyed the movie, and now my son pretends he is Diego all the time.
He was a little bit afraid of the big spongey headed guy, so only my daughter got her photo taken.

Princess and Bob the Builder Party

Everyone had a great time at my daughters birthday. They made tiaras and hard hats and decorated treasure chests/jewlery boxes.

They played bingo and hullabalou, opened presents and (best of all) had cake.

WOW Five Years

My daughter turned 5!!!!
We were all quite excited. We took her to McDonalds, and she got a Hullabalou game. She had a great day and now we are planning for her party on the weekend.

Ski-joring

Misty finally got a taste of real work, as she pulled the kids around on the sled on the weekend. She seemed to have fun pulling one, but when two of them got on the sled, she said "NO WAY". We ended up at the tobagganing hill near our house, for many great runs.

Rink in a blink

I spent a few hours on Saturday setting up the backyard rink. After I spent many hours in the backyard last year, flooding and flooding and flooding and flooding and flooding and flooding and flooding, I decided to try Canadian Tire's Jiffy Rink. The rink is basically a big bladder, that you fill with water. You let it freeze and then pull the top off. Since the water sits in the bag, it is supposed to be completely level with just one fill. It took about 2 hours to fill, and the kids all helped as I smoothed out the wrinkles and tried to keep it even. Because our backyard has a real slant to it, the rink is about 6 inches thick at the one end, and 1/2 an inch at the other. It will take a while to freeze, but we shall see how it is as a rink.

Princess Party

Plans are underway for my daughters 5th birthday party. She wants a Princess and Bob the Builder party. Stay tuned for the updates.

Teeth and other stuff

While eating my breakfast last Saturday, I split my tooth in half. I couldn't get into the dentist till Monday, so I spent the weekend on pain killers and soup. They pulled out the broken half on Monday (it hurt where it dug into the gum) and plugged the hole in my gum. Now I have to wait about 3 weeks to get my root canal. It does not hurt now, but I keep playing with the hole where my tooth was with my tongue. So I have not updated my blog in a while.

Not much is new. My daughter is back to school. My son and daughter have taken swimming. I am taking guitar lessons again (to get some time for myself). We are looking a more obidence training for Misty. And ballet and kindergym are starting again.
